My name is Tony De Lisa. I had the good – and bad – fortune to have been born in the United States in 1932 of Italian immigrant parents. That was all quite some time ago, as you can see, and I have now been living in Germany for over 40 years.

I earn my daily bread with English „texten,“ a word that is a bit difficult to translate into English accurately - but “editing and copywriting” comes close enough. I sometimes have this crazy idea that I can also write literature (fiction) and have published several books - two in the German language, the rest in English.

What I am trying to do with this internet site is establish contact with people like yourself who are interested in reading (perhaps also writing(?), talking, discussing and, above all,  laughing in and about the English language.

I would also like very much to introduce you to Archy, the literary cockroach and perhaps interest you in our NoBull Prize for Literature contest. Above all, we should all meet each other in the „good ideas“ blog.

For now, why not „click around“ a bit and get familiar with our site - and perhaps find something to comment upon in our blog.

But please understand that nothing is really finished or firmly established. I am simply experimenting and developing as I go along.
